Cheetahs Secure Home Semi-Final In Great Comeback Effort

The Cheetahs secured a home semi-final after an exciting win against the Western Province (38-33) in Bloemfontein tonight. The Free State Cheetahs' also ended first on the 2019 Currie Cup log which will secure them a home final should they win next week in their semi final.

Western Province started like a house on fire and lead 19-0 early on but the Cheetahs scored two late tries in the first half to trail with 19-12 at half time.

The second half saw Western Province score two converted tries to stretch their lead to 33-12 before the Cheetahs fightback started. The Cheetahs scored twenty six unanswered points with the winning try by Nche scored with seven minutes to go.
